Petship There's a Boards of Canada feel to it all - it couldn't be, could it?! In all seriousness I think Myrrhman's identity is pretty obvious but either way it's a superb album of mysterioso analogue electronic ambience in a beautifully designed and conceptually intriguing package that's a pleasure to own.

Wilfully mysterious and playfully enigmatic, The Map Is Not The Territory is a multimedia, multidimensional experience entirely created by Scottish artist and sound explorer [REDACTED] under the new alias MYRRHMAN.

The Map Is Not The Territory is an evolving atmospheric journey, designed to ebb and flow, transport. It utilises multiple synthesis technologies, electro-acoustic techniques, found sounds and devices, rescued sounds, field recordings and possible alien technology.

Available on CD and Digital, both versions feature a full album of additional tracks, downloadable from password protected QR code links. The passwords can be obtained by solving clues embedded in the audio and artwork.

The CD package contains Digipak CD, a set of 3 stickers, a map fold A2 poster, a set of 8 art postcards / maps with QR codes, and a small hand numbered envelope with info for potential future use in potential continuation of this project. Please DO NOT open this envelope.

The Digital version contains pdf versions of all artwork and material required to solve the password codes.

This is as good as the officially released WRNTDP titles on CIS. Very pleased to pick it up, where the pieces here are longer than most on the records they benefit from the slow unwinding they are afforded. The 18 minute live set excerpt is particularly immersive. Wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to release this on vinyl as a companion to the inevitable repressing of This Nation's Most Central Location. Great stuff. Oh and you get a cool magazine to read as well. Awesome. shaun rogan
